Grover is the preeminent authority on the science and art of achieving physical and mental dominance. Since 1989, he has been the CEO of Attack Athletics, appearing around the world as a keynote speaker and consultant to business leaders, athletes, and elite achievers in any area who want to know how the best can get better in anything they do, teaching the principles of relentless drive, result-driven performance, and mental toughness. A featured columnist at SI.com and Yahoo.com, he also appears regularly on ESPN and other media outlets. He is the author of the national bestseller Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable and creator of digital training platform “The Relentless System.” He is based in Chicago.  Shari Lesser Wenk, co-writer of the bestselling Start Something by Earl Woods and the Tiger Woods Foundation, has worked on sports books as a literary agent, editor, and ghost writer since 1983. She lives in Chicago.

For more than two decades, legendary trainer Tim Grover has taken the greats—Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and hundreds of relentless competitors in sports, business, and every walk of life—and made them greater. Now, for the first time ever, he reveals what it takes to achieve total mental and physical dominance, showing you how to be relentless and achieve whatever you desire.

Direct, blunt, and brutally honest, Grover breaks down what it takes to be unstoppable: you keep going when everyone else is giving up, you thrive under pressure, you never let your emotions make you weak. In “The Relentless 13,” he details the essential traits shared by the most intense competitors and achievers in sports, business, and all walks of life. Relentless shows you how to trust your instincts and get in the Zone; how to control and adapt to any situation; how to find your opponent’s weakness and attack. Grover gives you the same advice he gives his world-class clients—“don’t think”—and shows you that anything is possible. Packed with previously untold stories and unparalleled insight into the psyches of the most successful and accomplished athletes of our time, Relentless shows you how even the best get better . . . and how you can too.

You only live once... Live legendary I had to come back and write this review because some of the negative reviews they're displaying on the main page almost talked me out of buying this book! Then I thought to myself.. "Man, who am I going to listen to? Some weak scrubs who took the time out of their day to write a poor review on Amazon OR a highly successful trainer who has been the go-to guy for some of the top basketball legends who ever played?"So I bought the book.BOOM! It nails it. I can relate to a lot of what he says. I've always known that there are just a lot of weak people out there that can't keep up or perform at top levels. That's not something to ignore and say "oh everybody is special in their own way" or "i'm sure he's a nice person so it's okay" - when it's time to perform you have to perform! End of story. This book is for the people who can (or at least have the desire and are working on being able to) perform at top levels. It goes into the mindset of a high achiever. It gives you permission to act the way you already know you want to act deep down inside. If you always listen to the weak people and their beliefs on how you should behave it begins to tame your inner beast! This book is a breath of fresh air in a world where there's an epidemic of mediocrity and conformity and weakness.Pure gold in these pages Pure gold from Mr. Glover. Easy read, read in about a week due to my busy schedule and still was able to finish it in a week. Pure gold are within these pages. Even though he makes examples and regency through basketball, these lessons holds true in every facet of your life. Why settle for less than excellence. Be relentless, nothing else. Be unstoppable at anything you set your mind to do. Be a cleaner. If after reading this book you don’t feel like everything is possible, every dream you hold so close to you is reachable, if these book doesn’t make you jump out your seat and run after everything you wanted to do, go see a doctor because there must be something wrong with you! I could barely sit down and read this book, I had to read it standing up because I couldn’t be still, it is that powerful. Go get yours!Take what makes you you and use it to your advantage. I’m happy I found this book the summer before my sophomore year of high school. I’ll tell a small story.I’m a small forward for the girls varsity basketball team at my school. I did in fact play varsity my freshman year not only lettering, but also starting 99% of the games(only not starting when I was “ineligible”).I started with four seniors, three of which had incredible talent. You can already see how I might have been a little intimidated.I like to think i have pretty good skills. I ended the season averaging about 7 points a game, when I was only supposed to be a fifth person on the court.( I know it’s not really that impressive). The entire season I struggled to maintain my dominance on the court always being pushed down by the seniors. It got to the point where I was yelling at my teammates and referees on the court. It left me somewhat scarred and unable to return to the game I had originally came in with.My mental game was destroyed even more than it already was. I have been repeatedly scolded by my couch in my summer league about my attitude and body language towards my teammates. It’s hard to change who you are. It’s hard to suppress your anger when your teammates have no interest in winning. Right now we are 0-6 in a freaking summer league. I’ve been told by every adult in my life that I need to be a leader, but how can you be a leader when nobody listens and your coach constantly shuts you down? This book has taught me that I don’t need to change who I am. I’m not broken. I’m not somebody who has to suppress their feelings to make everybody else happy. Tim Grover has written a book that tells people like me that who I am is my greatest asset. I should channel the anger I get while playing into my game. If my teammate misses a shot I should get the rebound and put it back up. If they turn the ball over I need to be the first one back on defense to stop the fast break. This book is a work of gold. It’s not a self help book if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s not going to give you step by step details of how to be the best. Grover explains his experiences training the best of the best and how he helped them get there. He gave us a blueprint for success and invited us to take the journey needed to make it. I highly suggest you purchase this book.Sorry if it’s a bit too TMI. I felt that I needed to really explain why and how this book impacted me. I hope that if you decide to purchase the book you succeed in whatever you’re striving for and I hope you’re ready to put in the work to make it happen.

Know My Name Pdf

ISBN: B07V9JTNBB
Title: Know My Name Pdf A Memoir

A New York Times Best Seller

"A devastating, immersive memoir...Miller is an extraordinary writer: plain, precise and moving." (NPR)

"Know My Name is a gut-punch, and in the end, somehow, also blessedly hopeful...She implores us, too, to challenge and question the systems that aren't working. As we examine how to prevent and prosecute sexual assault cases, this last lesson may be the most important of all." (Washington Post)

She was known to the world as Emily Doe when she stunned millions with a letter. Brock Turner had been sentenced to just six months in county jail after he was found sexually assaulting her on Stanford's campus. Her victim impact statement was posted on BuzzFeed, where it instantly went viral - viewed by 11 million people within four days, it was translated globally and read on the floor of Congress; it inspired changes in California law and the recall of the judge in the case. Thousands wrote to say that she had given them the courage to share their own experiences of assault for the first time.

Now, she reclaims her identity to tell her story of trauma, transcendence, and the power of words. It was the perfect case, in many ways - there were eyewitnesses, Turner ran away, physical evidence was immediately secured. But her struggles with isolation and shame during the aftermath and the trial reveal the oppression victims face in even the best-case scenarios. Her story illuminates a culture biased to protect perpetrators, indicts a criminal justice system designed to fail the most vulnerable, and, ultimately, shines with the courage required to move through suffering and live a full and beautiful life.

Know My Name will forever transform the way we think about sexual assault, challenging our beliefs about what is acceptable and speaking truth to the tumultuous reality of healing. It also introduces listeners to an extraordinary writer, one whose words have already changed our world. Entwining pain, resilience, and humor, this memoir will stand as a modern classic.

EMILY DOE NO LONGER In case anyone doesn't know what they've stumbled upon, this is the book written by the brave young woman assaulted by swimmer Brock Turner on the Stanford campus, an assault halted by two bystanders when they realized she was lying on the ground unconscious and clearly well beyond being able to give consent. I say “brave” not because of what she endured, but because of her writings afterwards. To become the face of this issue is a bold and courageous step. Now that we know Chanel Miller's name, we cannot unknow it.This is her story, her version of events.Well written in a slightly angry voice. She's entitled.BOTTOM LINE: Read it.Beautiful. Raw. As captivating as her impact statement. I was happy to learn Chanel’s name and to learn she had written a book. I pre-ordered it. I decided to buy the kindle version because I wanted to have it immediately. The book did not disappoint. I’m drawn to her writing style. I enjoyed learning about the routines and life she had created while going through that long difficult court process. I enjoyed reading about the small moments she found solace and comfort in others, from the door women in Philadelphia, to the classmates in her summer art program, to everything that held her together even just momentarily.I think many will find this book invaluable, especially survivors of sexual assault. In a section Chanel wrote, “I’ve found that victims identify more with pain than with platitudes. When I write about weakness, about how I am barely getting though this, my hope is that they feel better, because it aligns with the truth that they are living.”I’ve never experienced sexual assault fortunately, but this book filled me with empathy and love for survivors everywhere. I also found this book meaningful because it resonated with my own personal battles with depression. Like Chanel, I’ve found comfort in “mundane” interactions with family, strangers, my dogs. Like Chanel, (in regards to her scuba diving story) I remember there’s other words existing that remind me of how beautiful life still is.I’ll end my review with more of Chanel’s beautiful words:“We may spend half our time wandering around, wondering what we’re even doing here, why it’s worth the effort. But living is an incredible thing, just to have been here, to have felt, if only briefly, the volume and depth of others’ empathy. I wrote, most of all, to tell you I have seen how good the world could be.”Chanel, if you somehow read this, just know I hold you in warmth and love and sincerely wish you the best in life. I’m not alone in that sentiment. Many are admiring you and sending you love. I’m so glad children will have the gift of your books.Loved it I can't remember the last time I pre-ordered a book but I was waiting eagerly for the mail to arrive today with my copy of "Know Your Name." .This book is emotional, detailed, raw and at times, difficult to read, but it is an important one in this day and age. I was blown away at Chanel's eloquent writing of such a difficult and deeply personal journey. I hope that every copy sold is a big "F U" to Brock Turner and the joke of a judge who gave his sentence. Chanel, we know your name, we hear your name and your story resonates with so many. I was horrified, disgusted and ashamed for my nation when Brock Turner's sentence was given. I cried tears of joy when I saw Chanel was releasing this book, and coming forward. I don't know you Chanel, but I am so proud of you. Thank you for letting us know your name.

Queen of the Fae (Dragon's Gift Download

ISBN: B07XCWKTNR
Title: Queen of the Fae (Dragon's Gift Pdf The Dark Fae Book 3)
I am destined to kill my fated mate.

Fate is a meddling b*tch. First, it decreed that my mate would be Tarron, King of the Seelie Fae. He's gorgeous, arrogant, and for the longest time, I hated him. Until I didn't.

Problem is... as soon as I start to fall for him, fate meddles again. Apparently, I’m fated to kill Tarron. To make matters worse, our Fae courts are at war. My mother is trying to destroy his kingdom. She’s hunting down Eternal Fire to destroy his realm, and I have to help stop her.

As we race to save his kingdom, I fall harder and harder for Tarron. He's impossible to resist. But I don't tell him the dark secret that will tear us apart—my destiny to kill him. Twisting fate to my own ends is the only way my love will survive. The question is...can I?Queen of the Fae is the thriling continuation of the hit new series The Dark Fae.

Left me desperately wanted more ! If you enjoy action, adventure, history and romance all set amongst a paranormal background then this author certainly consistently delivers. Mari has always been a standout character since she was first introduced with her Elvira looks and her kickass attitude. Now she’s starring in her own series it’s a joy to discover everything she has kept hidden from the world but secrets about her own heritage have only just come to light and Mari is still left reeling.Mari is what could be called the ultimate weapon with her amazing dragon blood powers but finding out her own mother is the Unseelie Queen who is truly unhinged is throwing up all sorts of issues. For a start there’s the slight ( who am I kidding ?) problem of having a fated Mate in Tarron the Seelie King but with the knowledge that she’s doomed to kill him how is Mari ever going to have a normal relationship with him ? Too bad her mum is determined to obliterate everything good in the world so buckle up Mari because you are about to get thrown out of the pan and into the fire !Another fast paced plot that delivers a mixture of fantasy and mythology all set amongst historical backgrounds. This isn’t the most amusing book the author has written but I could understand that the threat level is ramped up so much that with Mari at war with her own mother it wouldn’t be appropriate to have too many lighthearted moments. There’s still shocks along the way and things are certainly hotting up between Mari and Tarron . I particularly enjoyed that Mari got to see just how brave and powerful Tarron is but that end has left me bereft and anyone reading this book is definitely going to want more ! This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fairUnpredictable. Wonderful characters. Action-packed. Entertaining. Haunting. Tragic. Twisted. Almost the full cast of characters on the side of good from Linsey's stories make at least a cameo appearance. Several are much more involved. There are many battles and loads of tension. But things never seem to go Mari's direction. The end of this story definitely caught me off guard. Unpredictable but not unbelievable. My only disappointment is that now I have to wait for more to be written. I don't want to push, but I certainly hope it won't be long.I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.A bit silly - clean romance for those that are in to that - lots of action So this was a cute book. I read the previous two, and while it seemed like the writer was trying to decide who she wanted the characters to be as she went along, they were fun, filled with action, and inoffensive. I like the intelligence of the woman lead, but the male lead is rather cardboard - equal parts brooding, angsty, and judgmental. His racism toward her people is really the only defining characteristic he has, but this could be a lot worse. The silliness finally did me in, though, so I don't see myself reading more by this author. At first, the Elvira thing that the main character does was sorta charming because I associated it with her armor. But then as the books go on, she starts talking about it as the real her, but in a very superficial way. So, instead of coming off as badass, the lead woman comes off as rather young and self-indulgent, bordering on silly. The action is non-stop, so for folks who dig that, this may be a good choice for you. Also, if you like being led on by 2.5 books worth of intense sexual tension only to have a 1950s-esq scene where kissing morphs into breakfast the next morning, with no hint of what transpired other than a rather flat statement about having had sex, then you will like these books. A good friend of mine calls books like this popcorn, and I think that is probably right. There is a lot of really good fantasy romance out there, however, and so even though I am glad that this popcorn is at least consent-positive and not hyper traditional in its gender characterizations, it still left me feeling unsatisfied by the end. Kudos to the author for finding a market for this kind of thing and getting those woman-positive messages included despite its superficial moments -- it just isn't what I was hoping for.

Sweat the Technique Free Pdf

ISBN: B07PPQ5G69
Title: Sweat the Technique Pdf Revelations on Creativity from the Lyrical Genius

The musician and hip-hop legend - hailed as "the greatest MC of all time" and compared to Thelonious Monk - reimagines the writing handbook in this memoir and guide that incorporates the soulful genius, confidence, and creativity of a master artist.

When he exploded on the music scene, musical genius Rakim was hailed for his brilliant artistic style, adding layers, complexity, depth, musicality, and soul to rap. More than anyone, Rakim has changed the way MCs rhyme. Calm on the mic, his words combine in a frenzy of sound, using complicated patterns based on multisyllabic rhymes and internal rhythms. Rakim can tell a story about a down-on-his-luck man looking for a job and turn it into an epic tale and an unforgettable rhyme. He is not just a great songwriter - he's a great modern writer.

Part memoir, part writing guide, Sweat the Technique offers insight into how Rakim thinks about words, music, writing, and rhyming as it teaches writers of all levels how to hone their craft. It is also a rare glimpse into Rakim's private life, full of entertaining personal stories from his youth on Long Island growing up in a home and community filled with musicians to the clubs of New York and the studios of Los Angeles during his rise to the top of popular music. Rakim celebrates the influences that shaped his development, including the jazz music of John Coltrane and the spirituality of the streets, and shares anecdotes spotlighting personalities such as LL Cool J and Dr. Dre, among others.

Filled with valuable lessons for every writer, Sweat the Technique reveals the heart and mind of an artist and his love for great storytelling and, always, the words.

The R!!!!!!!!!! He did not disappoint and not surprisingly displayed wit, intelligence, scholarship, ruggedness, swag, integrity, a love for black people, and all people and most importantly a respect for God. Well done good and faithful servant !!!!!More EP Than Full Player, Sweat The Technique Still Has Enough Soul To Move The Crowd Thirty plus years after his debut, Rakim invites readers to follow the leader into his literary universe Sweat The Technique: Revelations On A Creativity From A Lyrical Genius. Billed as "part memoir-part writing guide," Ra goes behind the rhyme and explores the technique and inspiration behind his conceptual genius. He also shares perspectives on his spiritual views and offers motivational jewels for the reader.Offering rare reflections of his life and career, Rakim still holds the literary reigns tight like a grudge. Leaving topics previously touched on in social media blogs and old interviews on the cutting room floor, Rakim bypasses wild-style stories of his younger days when he and DJ Eric B rolled deep with the infamous Paid In Full posse. Ditto for the obligatory mouth-dropping industry confessions and untold stories recounting the late Eighties' testosterone-filled rap industry.Technique really comes alive when Rakim reflects on his early days as "Popo" and "Lil Griff"---the scrappy kid from Wyandanch, Long Island, part music/sports prodigy----part gun-toting hard rock, nurtured by his mother's support and guided by his father's wise and steady hand. Recounting the oft-told story of his entry in the rap game, Rakim shares how an unexpected visit from Eric B puts him on the fast track to becoming the teen-aged hip hop prodigy---automatically better than every rap peer and pioneer.Technique captures the dizzying highs: the big money paydays and rapid career ascent requiring Rakim to drop out of school. The bidding war that led to him signing the first million-dollar rap contract at the tender age of twenty. ("Just two years earlier, I had no thought of making money as a MC and now I was out buying a Benz, a Jeep Cherokee, jewelry, clothes and sneakers."). It reveals the lows: the pressures of young fatherhood and his grandmother's passing. Rakim expresses the guilt of reluctantly tending to a hot careers while his hero---his beloved father succumbed to bone cancer.Momentarily pulling back the veil of discretion, Rakim shares stories of his first love and briefly unpacks his sometimes conflicted relationship with his partner. He celebrates the accomplishments of their unlikely partnership while revealing his desire to be independent of it at the start of their journey. He revisits the growing pains, creative and business differences that would lead to their breakup as well as their tension filled and triumphant reunion. Sweat The Technique's circular prose at times can be thematic. Like Rakim's syncopated flow, it swings back and forth, both discreet and revealing all at once. Recollections capture the GOD MC's many moods and grooves. Bold and testy like Miles. Enigmatic like Monk. An ember-like spirit stoked by competition and self-mastery. A soaring rap deity whose family is the wind beneath his wings. More EP than a full-length player, Sweat The Technique still has enough soul to move the crowd.Long awaited Loved the stories
