Dershowitz tells it like it is, intelligently and principled, without political bias. I most liked and appreciated the discussion of the most important questions of the current Trump era presidency that is done intelligently and free of the hypocrisy and hyperpartisanship that rules the media and so many of the self-proclaimed pundits who discuss the issues that are so concerning to all of us. Professor Dershowitz has shown the danger inherent in the justification of the breaking and even bending of Constitutional and legal principles to facilitate attacks on President Trump. I found the spread of that kind of thinking into academia especially dangerous. It is a tour that explains, teaches and provokes thinking about many important things and should be required reading for all the members of Congress and all citizens anxious to preserve our democracy.I wondered what happened to the ACLU. Prof. Dershowitz explained it. In a discussion of the danger of breaking the rules to accomplish an assumed justifying end, he discussed the unholy alliance between The FBI and mob boss Whitey Bulger. I come from Boston and thought I knew all about that arrangement. I didn’t and that example provoked a new understanding. There are many other subjects like “flipping minor criminals” to get bigger ones that will provide a better understanding of the process and the dangers inherent in doing it. All in all, whether you like Trump and what he’s doing or despise him and everything about him, you should read this discussion of what’s going on to better understand the dangers that will follow from a failure to properly follow the law.Before all the facts are in...? It's sad that Prof. Dershowitz has gone to such great lengths to make a defense against potential impeachment proceedings being instituted against President Trump both BEFORE all the facts have been uncovered and the Special Counsel has completed the report on his investigations AND when, nearly daily, facts ARE uncovered that are making a pretty clear case that the President MUST be impeached because of the clear and growing patterns of crimes/misdemeanors and just maybe even Treason those facts increasingly point to. I can understand and appreciate a book at this time on how we should interpret impeachment of a president according to the Constitution, history, and vis-a-vis other interpretations, and moreover on how critical it is that such proceedings should only be instituted when certain standards have been met and the dangers to the Republic when not enough care is taken if and when such a process has begun. But it really makes you wonder just what Professor Dershowitz is actually trying to accomplish when he comes right out with "The Case Against the Democratic House Impeaching Trump" before general, necessary, and long-overdue congressional oversight hearings have begun, administration and campaign and Trump organization officials have been invited or subpoena'd to give testimony, and, as I said and every day exemplifies, there is a growing continent of evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump has acted and directed others to commit crimes etc. Finally, I cannot but see it as erroneous that a President can only be impeached and removed from office for commission of crimes during their term in office, as Prof. Dershowitz suggests in his book. I am not expert on all standards of impeachment for other government officials, but applying a time limit on top of normal statutory limitations seems clearly ridiculous and very unlikely to have been the intent of the Founders. Surely, Prof. Dershowitz, you're not saying that, let's say if the Speaker of the House, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, or a cabinet official instituted a secret coup against the President and Vice President, thereby becoming President or Vice President in the line of succession, which was later uncovered during their term, but while they did not commit any crimes while serving as President/Vice President, that they wouldn't be liable for impeachment by the House and conviction and removal by the Senate?

One of my all time favorite series! This is it. The conclusion to the Charley Davidson series. I thought I was ready for this book, but boy was I wrong. I was prepared for anything, and made sure to keep tissues close by, because I knew I would need them. This review will contain spoilers if you haven't read the previous books in the series. So think twice before you continue reading. If you read the previous book, you know Charley did the one thing she was explicitly told not to, which resulted in her paying the price: being kicked off the earthly plain for eternity. But of course she makes it back to earth because there is a battle to be fought. This book was action-packed, mysterious, hilarious, emotional and amazing. Summoned to Thirteenth Grave was perfect.It was also very emotional for me, because I spent more than six years hanging out with Charley and her tribe. Six years of going on crazy adventures, laughing and crying with them. Each and every character in this book has a special place in my heart. Darynda Jones, like in her previous books, found a way to add twists and turns to the story. There were still so many secrets to be revealed, and some of them shocked the hell out of me. Don't expect this book to only focus on the battle, if you know Charley, she can multitask like no other. She won't leave any case unsolved, and I loved that the author included them into the story. I am also happy that we got to see every character again. I am going to miss them so much, and they will hold a special place in my heart forever. It will take some time for me to get over this series. The only upside to the conclusion of this book is that there will be a spin-off focusing on Charley and Reyes daughter Beep.This one is painful to write... But necessary. First of all. I'm just a regular reader. Bought the audio and digital copy. I say this because some in the community like to read opinions from fans that didn't read the ARC. I am one of them.I started this series since book was out. I am part of a closed group of readers that started this books with me. Years passed and for different reasons, I was the only one still faithful to this series.That said. I won't go into details. Because I don't want to spoil a thing. I'll just say, I liked bits of this book, love a few more bits of this book, but I was kind of sad thinking, "Oh no, this one will get from me 3 stars?". Then the ending that was not a ending happened. I checked my kindle, I checked audible...something was wrong? An extra chapter or 2 missing? No. It ended. Like that.Is obvious Beep will have her book or books. Thats great for this author and hope she can write a 100 more! And I know I'll buy them.I'll just wait in the sidelines for the opinion of readers I've come to trust outside my group once Beep's book/s are done before I read. Because the disappointment is big and real and it hurts. No only because I didn't find it satisfying at all, also because I know my opinion is going to, at the very least, annoy others. I admire Darynda, she is one of those authors that always engage with fans and is very talented. And the fans of this series are amazing people and I wanted to cheer and celebrate with them. Not be the lonely fan with a sad expression. Envious of how they reacted to this book.Also, sucks to be that fan that instead of swallowing her negative opinion and discuss it in some private place, need to share it.

Bad I think some one else wrote this book. Did not recognize anything about it except of a couple of sex scenes. Maybe next timeIt didn't work for me I love Sandra Brown novels. She is a very talented author who can craft stories I remember many years later ( Rainwater). But this just didn't work for me. I liked the beginning with the crusty pilot handling extremely bad weather. But then the story started to loose me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters. The H & h seemed whiny and behaved TSTL. Their back stories should have been fascinating but it felt like too much psychology and talk and not enough action. The action was odd and so were the villains. The small town cops and the fellow manning the tower were completely authentic. The rest of the characters were off. I actually found it uncomfortable to read. A great story requires two important aspects; quality writing and quality story telling. The story telling part here was fragmented, plodding, and lacked believability.Disappointing Really ridiculous story with a long drawn out tale that seemed to repeat itself over and over. I’ll take a pass on her next novel

SheStormi non fighting self need to sit down somewhere doing all that shooting and then one second she hard and the next she giving in to Mellow. It starts a little boring it then the plot turns and have you wondering like what the hell.I hope part 3 don’t take long I need to know what to happen wit the girls, is Dreami mom really dead and what’s the deal with Stormi mom.#0850Never Been Loved So Hood 2 Now Dreami and Stormi find themselves caught up because they didn't listen. Mellow and Hazee will cause all types of trouble after that ending. Dreami made a stupid decision that cost her a lot and Hazee's way of dealing with it complicated things further. Stormi's mom was all types of scandalous and I thought for sure Stormi would continue to be dumb and fall for anything. I didn't feel bad for Kenu because she brought all those problems on herself and could've easily not gotten involved with Xavier's foolishness. Twin and her girls better be ready for Hazee because he already owes her one and whoever is responsible for Mellow's situation better be ready as well. #0850
